Boombox developed the cause marketing campaign #transvoices to help Google show its ongoing support of the trans community during Transgender Awareness Week. The project included the production of three documentary videos, a short film, a landing page, a web app, and a robust influencer program.
Each of our three short films featured inspiring transgender heroes who shared their stories of perseverance, advocacy, self-expression, and more. We also combined the shorts into a longer documentary called “Umbrella,” which we entered and screened at LGBTQ+ film festivals.
In addition, we identified and engaged LGBTQ+ influencers to drive conversations around the short films and Transgender Awareness Week. Smartphone users were also able to download our #TransVoices app, which overlayed an animated transgender flag onto user photos for use on social media sites.
