Hiscox Small Business insurance challenged Boombox with driving national brand exposure and reinforcing its “Encourage Courage” campaign aimed at helping small business owners. In response, we developed a partnership between Hiscox and Tough Mudder that we brought to life on-site and through digital storytelling.
After we identified, negotiated, and activated the national Tough Mudder sponsorship, we produced and distributed courage-centric digital content that captured the courageous spirit of both brands. We also created and activated a set of courage-themed assets at Tough Mudder obstacle course events, including: The Courage Zone, an on-course, Hiscox-branded area through which every participant passed in before taking on their next challenge; an interactive photo opportunity within Mudder Village; and a Courageous Adventure sweepstakes.
This heroic partnership effectively boosted brand awareness and affinity, increased consumer engagement through incremental exposure, and generated small business leads and connections in key verticals.
