With ProofPilot, the Proof is in the UX

Boombox partnered with ProofPilot, a cloud-based platform designed to streamline clinical trials, to revamp their sales website as well as the User Experience (UX) for both researchers and participants on their platform. The goal? Make the often-complex world of clinical trials more efficient and user-friendly across web and mobile interfaces.

Our comprehensive UX strategy began with designing and testing both the user-facing recruitment flow and the researcher-centric study design flow. We also curated a cohesive UI toolkit featuring a pattern library with over 75 icons, text styles, reusable elements, and a color palette to ensure consistency across all design elements and participant models.

For study design, our focus was on creating a straightforward solution that encompassed all crucial aspects of clinical trials. We designed a self-documenting interface to visually represent these components, including study site visits, trial arms, and randomization.

Boombox optimized the participant experience for web, mobile, and an integrated app, with study participation components like self-reporting, interactive interventions, and redeemable compensation elements. Study information pages served as recruitment landing pages, effectively communicating study duration, participation requirements, rewards, and other relevant details.

We also designed the sales website to effectively communicate the benefits of using ProofPilot for three user journeys: potential participants, researchers, and investors. The sales website included a main website and custom sub-sites catering to specific segments such as clinical healthcare and people wellness.
