Part of Gilead’s mission to end the HIV epidemic for everyone, everywhere, is to reach vulnerable communities in authentic, meaningful ways.
Therefore, Gilead sponsored the annual Essence Festival in New Orleans to engage Black and African American individuals, particularly Black women. This provided Gilead with a unique forum to reach one of the most HIV-affected communities with the brand’s #healthysexual educational initiative.
Gilead tasked Boombox with promoting its sponsorship and raising awareness about sexual health, HIV risk, and prevention with a fun, interactive experience. Boombox designed, fabricated, and managed an interactive and educational game show to anchor the booth experience. Additional elements and offers included daily meet & greets with keynote speakers Bevy Smith and Ayana Elliot, with distribution of branded fans, tote bags, and t-shirts.
